FAQ

What should I wear to a chiropractic appointment?

Non-restrictive comfortable clothing like athletic wear is ideal, but everyday clothing works just fine as well.

How long is the first appointment?

Your first visit will typically lasts under 30 minutes. That might sound short, but if you’re in pain the last thing we want to do is delay getting you the help you need – even if it’s not with us.

Do you accept walk-ins or do I need an appointment?

Appointments are highly preferred to reserve your time and minimize waiting.

Do you take Insurance?

We do not accept or bill traditional health insurance plans. Our services are provided on a private-pay/self-pay basis only. This allows us to deliver fully customized, high-quality care without restrictions and limitations often imposed by insurance companies. We belive in transparent pricing and will discuss our fees, treatment plans, and payment options during your initial consultation. If you have any questions regarding your specific situation, please feel free to contact our office – we’re here to help!

However, for patients aged 65 and older with Medicare (Part B), we can provide covered services specifically spinal adjustments. Please note that Medicare does not cover other services we provide such as the initial exam, therapies, or maintenance/preventative care.

What’s that “cracking” or “popping” sound during an adjustment?

It is NOT bones breaking. That sound known as cavitation is simply gas being released from the joint due to the rapid change in pressure, similar to opening a soda can. Not all adjustments need to make a sound either in order to be effective.

Will cracking my knuckles cause arthritis?

No. Donald Unger won the Ig Nobel Prize for answering this question back in 2009. He only cracked the knuckles on his left hand for 50 years and found no structural differences when compared to his right hand.

How many visits will I need?

The number of visits depends on your goals, condition, and how your body responds to care. Some patients recover rapidly, while others with long standing ailments may need more time for lasting results. Similar to how a single workout won’t make you strong, one adjustment won’t be able to change years of stress placed on your body. An adjustment might feel really good, but it takes some compounding to truly see remarkable results.

Do you offer wellness/maintenance care?

Absolutely. We fully support the idea that your body is your most valuable possession and deserves the utmost care. Many patients choose to continue care beyond pain relief to maintain mobility, prevent future issues, and support long-term health.
